Y-South receives funds for a full sized competitive sprung floor
Y-South Gymnastics Club set to receive a Full Sized Sprung Floor
Thanks to the Queensland Governments Gambling Community Benefit Fund,
Y-South will be relocating to its new facility in October with a new,
full sized competitive sprung floor valued at $30 945.
The sprung floor will meet the needs of the clubs expanding membership
base as well as position the club in a strong position when it relocates
to its new premises at the Acacia Ridge Leisure centre in October 2010.
This relocation forms part of the Masterplan
for CA O’Sullivan Park in Acacia Ridge and is a partnership with the
Queensland Governments Department of Communities – Community Renewal
that was formed in 2006 as a means to creating a community Hub in the
Acacia Ridge area which was identified as a clear
priority in the Master plan.
A full sized sprung floor will enable the club to train gymnasts on a
competition size floor and therefore increase the ability to train more
gymnasts at one time and to a higher standard. The upgraded flooring
will also ensure maximal safety for all gymnasts
and users of the floor.
We would like to thank the Gambling Community Benefit Fund for their
continued support of our YMCA
